I have this error with Windows Vista. Each time I open folder containing video files, pop up messages will repeatedly show, “xvidcore.dll not found”.
It seems that xvidcore.dll is a codec needed to play Xvid files, and the error shown as the codec been deleted or corrupted. So, I download xvidcore.dll from:
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?xvidcore
Then, extract xvidcore.zip, and copy the xvidcore.dll to C:\Windows\System32
Assume drive C:\ is where you install OS Windows Vista.
It’s work out, pop up error never show again.
